Mustangs

  Horse-blood is pure energy

Only painted horses are real:
the beasts of the Plains run wild,
proud of earthy coats and white splotches.
But noble fools prefer purebred slave horses-
the mustang is tainted blood, an unworthy enigma.
It’s either one bullet to end the horror
or the glue factory to stop a monstrosity:
the only options for painted horses
who ride free and kick up dust
that chokes, interrupts tea time.
